Kisima Hosts a Successful Entrepreneurship Seminar

Kisima hosts an Entrepreneurship seminar in Mt Edgecombe.

Our program was highly interactive and used innovative methods that led to empowerment / transfer of skills: rapid prototyping based on design thinking and the lean start-up methodology:

• How do you present ideas?
• How do you work in teams?
• Preparation, punctuality and confidence to think outside the box / creativity.
• Initiating a mindset of sustainable livelihoods, bootstrapping
• Analytical techniques and problem-solving skills necessary to adapt to technological changes

This step-by-step process ensured that participants understood what they do to develop their product or service in constant co-creation with customers. Participants also learned how to view the world through the eyes of an entrepreneur. The ability to see opportunities instead of problems is crucial for being able to act independently and autonomously. These skills are vital for job creation and income generation in South African communities that do not have many resources, networks and support.
